Host a Private Sewing Workshop

Get a group of friends, family or colleagues together and everyone will design and stitch their very own custom sewing project.
Don't worry, there is absolutely no sewing experience required! You choose the fabric for the project and if there is time you can add decorations and notions to customize it even more.
You do the leg work, our staff will do the finishing touches to make sure your project is sturdy and professional looking when you take it home after this two-hour private party.
Perfect for birthday parties, bridal showers, bachelorette parties, client entertainment, sorority or alumni functions, or just a good excuse for Girls Night Out.
Our 2-Hour Party includes the following:
- Exclusive use of the M Avery Designs Sewing Studio for 2 hours.
- Your choice of sewing project from the choices below (or make a custom request).
- All supplies and instruction for all your guests.
- 1-2 instructors/party hosts. This depends on how many guests you have attending.

You are welcome to bring in any food and drink for your party.
Open for private parties during the week day, weekday evenings and weekend days & evenings. Whenever we don't already have something scheduled.

Please note: When you purchase M Avery Designs Gift Cards, you'll receive a PDF of the Gift Certificate in email. We do not mail paper copies of the gift card.
Redeeming M Avery Designs Gift Certificates is personal and easy. Please read below.
The recipient or the giver just sends us an email with the following information and we'll take care of the rest.
- Full name and email address of the GC Giver.
- Full name and email address of the GC Recipient.
- When (approximately) the GC was purchased.
- If the credit will be used for sewing lessons or sewing classes.
We'll then issue your credit towards what you'd like to purchase.
Please note: The reason for the emails when redeeming is that we have different registration software for our classes vs. our lessons.
If you know you'll be using this entire credit towards kids or adult classes, we can issue the credit asap through Sawyer for classes. This way you can go online and book them asap
If you know you'll be using the entire credit towards private lessons, we can issue you the credit asap through Acuity for lessons. This way you can go online and book them asap.

Kids School Break Camps

Spring Break Camp 2020 - April 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14, 15, 16 & 17
In our Kids School Break Sewing Camps for Kids in Kindergarten to 8th Grade we focus on teaching:
- Basic sewing machine usage & proficiency, as well as hand sewing, when applicable.
- Improving fine motor skills including pinning, cutting fabric, sewing on the line.
- Creativity in designing their own sewing projects.
- How to follow basic sewing patterns and instructions.
- Completion of sewing projects include things like stuffed animals, toys, purses, fashion accessories, clothing and more.
- Every child working at their own pace. Beginners ALWAYS welcome! More advanced skill will be taught to more advanced students.
Fashion Designer:
Who Doesn't Love Bags? And Hats? And Clothes? During This Weekly Long Summer Camp Theme Your Little Fashion Designer Will Design And Sew Their Own Personalized Fashion Accessories And Clothing.
Decorate My Room:
When You're A Kid, Your Bedroom Is Your Sanctuary! It's Definitely Your Favorite Place In The Whole House. This Sewing Camp Theme Will Have Students Creating Things To Decorate Their Own Rooms To Make Them Cozy, Organized And Personal. Projects Will Include Pillows, Decorations And Special Keepsakes That Boys And Girls Of All Ages Will Love!
Toy And Game Designer:
During This Weekly Long Summer Camp Theme Campers Will Design And Sew Their Very Own Toys And Games. Sewing Projects Will Include Board Games, Soft Books, Stuffed Animals Or Basically Anything Kids Can Play With When They're Done.
Stuffed Animal Designer:
During This Weekly Long Summer Camp Theme Campers Will Design And Sew Their Stuffed Animals.
If you'd like to get on the waiting list for any days of weeks that are full send us and email.
Due to the set limitation of spaces offered, per the class policies, no refund shall be provided for absences, changes, withdrawals, or dismissal for cause.
Permission is hereby granted for photographs to be taken of the camper and M Avery Designs has the right to utilize these photographs in camp brochures or on website and display material unless parent makes other arrangements with M Avery Designs.
