Level - Beginner Our signature, most popular workshop! Learn the sewing skills to make any of SEVEN different handbag styles in this two hour workshop. You do the leg work, our staff will do the finishing touches to make sure your bag is sturdy and professional looking when you walk out the door with it. You choose the fabric for the outside & lining. Choose to add adjustable straps or wooden handles ($10 extra) for a finishing touch.

It's back! Now the M Avery Designs Studio / Boutique is offereing jewelry making workshops! This is the most basic of jewelry making workshops. Come and learn how to properly strong beads to make a unique, gorgeous beaded necklace. Also learn the proper finishing techniques to make sure your necklace will not fall apart after you leave class. All supplies and tools are included.

Make Your Own Cropped Jacket $75 - 4 Hour Workshop (2 Classes)
Level - Beginner
Learn the sewing skills to make a fitted cropped jacket. Choose full or 2/3 length sleeves. This class meets for two hours twice in succession for a total of 4 hours of class. Learn how to read a simple sewing pattern, cut out your pieces and how to properly sew them together to create an un-lined adorable jacket. For this class, fabric can be purchased at the store or you may bring your own. Cropped jacket requires 2 yards of woolen, tweed or fleece fabric.

Learn the sewing skills to make a cute newsboy style cap with a stiff brim.You do the leg work, our staff will do the finishing touches to make sure your hat fits you properly and is sturdy and professional looking when you walk out the door with it. You choose the fabric for the outside & lining.

Make Your Own Knit Wrapped Dress $75 - 4 Hour Workshop (2 Classes)
Level - Intermediate (meaning you have EVER used a sewing machine before!)
Learn the sewing skills to make classic style knit wrap dress. This class meets for two hours twice in succession for a total of 4 hours of class. Learn how to read a simple sewing pattern, cut out your pieces and how to properly sew them together to create an adorable v-neck style wrap dress. For this class, price does not include fabric to be used for dress. Fabric can be purchased at our store or you may bring your own. Dress requires 3 yards of matte jersey, silk jersey or stretch knit fabric.

Laptop Sleeve Workshop NEW CLASS - $50 - 2 Hour Workshop

Learn the sewing skills to make a completely functional, padded sleeve for your laptop. Bring in your laptop or the dimensions of your laptop, and in this two hour workshop, you will learn how to build a custom sized laptop sleeve to fit your laptop perfectly.You do the leg work, our staff will do the finishing touches to make sure your sleeve is sturdy and proffesional looking when you leave. Choose your fabric and your lining to best suit your style.
Make Your Own Drawstring Waist Skirt Workshop $40 - 2 Hour Workshop
Level - Beginner
Learn the sewing skills to make a customized, cute skirt in your size, in this two hour workshop. You do the leg work, our staff will do the finishing touches to make sure your skirt is sturdy and professional looking when you walk out the door with them. Choose to do your skirt in any of the fabrics we have in stock at the time of your workshop.
All supplies are included (Unless otherwise specified) - Leave with your finished project!

Please call us at 201-876-1198 at least 48 hours ahead to to reserve a spot for the workshop date of your choice.
All workshop participants have the choice of making any of the items offered for the workshop in any of the fabrics offered at our studio at the time of your workshop.
Price for kids ages 10-18 are $35 per Two Hour workshop when accompanied by a participating adult.
Cancellation Policy: Please let us know as soon as you can if for some reason you have to cancel a scheduled workshop.There is a 48 hour cancellation policy on all booked public workshops . If cancellation is made within 48 hours of your Public workshop date, your card will be charged the $50 workshop fee for each participant you are holding space for. Private Workshops: There is a 1 Week cancellation policy on all booked public workshops . If cancellation is made within 1 week of your scheduled Private workshop date, your card will be charged a $150 cancellation fee for loss of business.
