M Avery Designs is now offering crafting classes for 4, 5, & 6 Year Olds on Saturday Mornings. Kids will learn how to trace patterns, how to cut fabric & felt, how to hand sew using plastic sewing needs and embroidery floss, as well as basic design & construction skills used in making the described crafts.

Each one hour class will be project oriented and each student will leave classes with their finished projects. There are only 8 spots per session.

$75 for the series of six classess + One Parent Volunteer Help Day
(Each parent is asked to choose one class per series to help with instruction)

If there is space, you may register on a class by class basis for $15 per class. Please note, first priority will go to students registering for all classes in the series.

All Supplies are included. All new projects each week - Never a repeat! Past projects include felted mittens, owl & butterfly ornaments, snow globes, snowflake flower garden

Devon O’Neal has loved sewing ever since her grandmother taught her how to use a sewing machine 12 years ago. She grew up in Northern Virginia and in 2006 decided to move to the New York City area to pursue fashion. She is currently a senior at LIM College in NYC majoring in Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Visual Merchandising. In her free time she enjoys designing her own fashions and visiting vintage shops to create her own re-designs. In addition to sewing and fashion she loves meeting new people. Devon enjoys working with Megan and learning new ideas from her. She adds a great artistic and creative flair to the team.

Megan Avery, Instructor & Owner of M Avery Designs, started her handbag company in 2001. After creating and selling her handmade handbags for over 3 years, she began teaching her secrets to the public in the form of Handbag workshops to adults and kids. Today her studio is host to regular after school fashion accessory design classes at both the Hudson School and Hoboken Charter School, as well as weekly fashion accessory classes open to the public. In addition, Megan hosts numerous crafty bridal shower, birthday & girls night out celebrations at her inspiring studio.
