Fashion Lab Boot Camp has taken what started out as Hoboken's Summer Fashion Camp for kids and transformed it into Five Week Sewing and Fashion Design Workshop for Adults.
Fashion Lab Beginner Boot Camp
This five week course meets for two hours in the evening. This course is designed for the beginning stitcher.

Students will focus on learning basic sewing skills, in addition to basic fashion design techniques & pattern reading skills used in creating some of todays cutting edge fashion designs.
Each two hour class will be project oriented and each student will leave classes with their finished wearable projects.Upon graduation, each student will take home a mini-portfolio with photographs of their finished projects.
Class size is very small. There are only 8 spots per session.

Lab Intermediate Boot Camp
This five week course meets for two hours in the evening. This course is designed for the intermediate stitcher. Pre-requisites include Fashion Lab Boot Camp Beginner or private sewing lessons with M Avery Designs or 3 or more MYO Workshops.
Our next Fashion Lab Boot Camp Intermediate (WINTER '09) is starting on Tuesday January 6th, 2009.

Students will focus on learning more advanced sewing skills, in addition to more advanced fashion design techniques, pattern reading, as well as draping skills used in creating some of todays cutting edge fashion designs.
Upon graduation, each student will take home their finished projects, in addition to a mini-portfolio with photographs of their finished projects.

Megan Avery, Instructor & Owner of M Avery Designs, started her handbag company in 2001. After creating and selling her handmade handbags for over 3 years, she began teaching her secrets to the public in the form of Handbag workshops to adults and kids. Today her studio is host to regular after school fashion accessory design classes at both the Hudson School and Hoboken Charter School, as well as weekly fashion accessory classes open to the public. In addition, Megan hosts numerous crafty bridal shower, birthday & girls night out celebrations at her inspiring studio.
